Verify a Phone Number
Use this guide before testing calls or SMS in 1stLine by Burava.
If your phone number is not verified, 1stLine shows an Unverified Phone Number warning and that user cannot receive SMS or calls through Escalation lines.
Steps
- Open User Profile.
- Enter your Phone Number.
- Click Save Changes.
- In the Unverified Phone Number warning, click Send Verification Code.
- Wait for the SMS.
- Enter the
6-digit PIN. - Click Verify.
What success looks like
After verification, the page shows Phone number is verified.
At that point, the user can be reached through Communication Rules that use:
- Send SMS
- Make Call
If you change the phone number later
When you change the saved phone number, verify the new number before using it in live escalation.
Do not assume the previous verification still applies to the new number.
