Change Plan
Use this guide to change the active plan for your organization in 1stLine by Burava.
Billing is controlled in Burava Platform. Plan checkout, plan changes, event packs, and billing portal access are managed from Billing.
Before you start
You need:
- organization admin access
- access to Billing
Before changing plan, review the new plan’s accepted alert-event volume, retention window, and paid-plan protections.
Paid plans can include surge protection and first overage grace. These features exist because 1stLine bills by alert volume, but a real incident can temporarily send far more alert events than usual. They help keep ingestion available during incident spikes. If the new plan has no applicable surge protection, no applicable first overage grace, and no event-pack credits, reaching the accepted alert-event limit can activate a hard cap and disable new schema ingestion.
Before downgrading, review the new plan’s retention window. A shorter retention window becomes the active retention limit after the plan change.
Steps
- Open Billing.
- In Current plan, confirm the plan you are changing from.
- Click Open customer portal.
- Complete the plan change in the customer portal.
- Return to Billing.
- Click Refresh.
- Confirm the updated plan in Current plan and in the plan cards.
If you do not have active plan access yet
If your organization is inactive for the product, use Choose Plan in the Plans section instead of Open customer portal.
See Pricing for how this state is shown.
If you are downgrading retention
After a downgrade, alert history outside the new retention window is eligible to move out of live 1stLine views during retention processing.
If you need help preserving history or choosing the right retention window, contact support@burava.com before completing the plan change.
Verify in 1stLine
Open 1stLine Home and check the Billing card:
- plan name is updated
- quota state matches your expected plan limits
If the plan changed during an incident, also confirm whether your organization has remaining accepted alert-event capacity, event-pack credits, surge protection, or first overage grace.
